Besides meaning a smart or talented person , genius can also be used to refer to something with a clever or smart quality. Similar to brilliant .

Sheer, when used with an adjective , means complete or absolutely.

To trick some one in to doing something means to make a person do something by using lies or a trick.

A tab is a record of what you’ve eaten or drunk at a bar, that you need to pay for. To pick up somebody’s tab is to pay their bill.

“Gets away with it scot-free”

To get away with something means to manage to not get any punishment or criticism for something bad that you’ve done.

Example: He broke the law but managed to get away with it.

Scot-free means without punishment or retribution. To get away scot-free is a common collocation.

It’s hilarious because the correct context and the meaning of a police officer somebody to pull over is so obvious , but of course he is so dumb that he thinks the officer is referring to a pullover shirt.
