inside out is a great animated movie that shows and gives us some insights into human emotions and psychology. In the movie, we see that every person has five different types of emotions represented by individual characters who live inside our heads or in our minds.

these five emotions are Joy. Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear.

So, in this scene you just watched, we get to see the girl Riley and her parents having an argument at dinner, and how all these emotions interact and control each person’s actions.

So, how was the first day of school?

As you probably know, the term guy is an informal way to refer to a man.

However, in American English, it’s commonly used in the plural form to refer to a group of people in general even if it includes women, as you can see that all of Jill’s emotions are female characters.

Also, this is commonly head in the phrase “you guys,” as a replacement for just “you” when said as plural.

leaving the toilet seat up, as you might know, is something a lot of men do after using the toilet, and that is considered rude or disrespectful towards the women who also use the same bathroom.

if you roll your eyes, you move your eyes around in a circle, like this. It’s normally done to indicate frustration and annoyance with something stupid or strange a person has said or done, and in that case, you would be rolling your eyes at that person.

If someone asks you “what to your deal?” they are asking why you acting in such a way, what is your problem similarly to other expressions such as “what’s the matter with you?”

Again, we see here the father’s emotions are acting and speaking very seriously, as if they were about to get into war, which is actually quite funny. One of them calls his leader, Anger, by the term sir, which is the way soldiers address superius in the military.

He then says that he’s reporting or identifying high levels of sass in Riley’s response.

In this sense, for example, if an older person describes a younger person as sassy, they mean that they are disrespectful in a lively, confident way.

another good example of this type of behavior can be seen in how Riley’s emotion and character Disgust normally responds to the other emotions.
