STEREOTYPE

Ben Vazquez, a Latino, and Rida Hamida, a Muslim, created the project“Taco Trucks at Every Mosque.”

The project is a way for people in the two minority communities to meet and to avoid stereotypes.

In social situations, stereotypes are beliefs about people based only on one quality.

For example, stereotypes can be based on race, nationality and appearance.

But stereotypes can be too simple, unfair or just not true.
