Earlier this month, a gunman killed more than 20 people in the town of El Paso, Texas, on the U.S. - Mexican border.

Ignorance

Just before the shooting, the 24_ year_old suspect posted a statement online saying the attack was a reaction to the “ Hispanic invasion of Texas.”

Hispanic living in El Paso say they are concerned for their safety.

Gabriela Aguirre says ignorance of different cultures is a problem.

Ignorance is a lack of knowledge, information or education.

It is the state or fact of being ignorant.
