Present Simple

When we talk about things we do every day. Usually sometimes most days or regularly. so, regular actions not actions happening. now, we use present simple for, I, you, we, and they. The plural forms, the verb will be the same as the infinitive form. So, no changes. some examples, how do I spend my day? I don’t sleep late. I get up at 8 a.m. And make breakfast. I eat breakfast. Every shower something go I get dressed. Shei I brush my teeth. I leave a note for Tom. I go to work. I go to the gym.

I come home. Notice the verb has no changes. The exception to this is with the verb be and in present simple the verb changes to these forms. So, that was the form for I, we, you and they. the plural forms. But, for he, she, and it the third person we need to change the verb by adding either S or ES to the end. Some examples, how does Tom spend his day? he wakes up. He does his hair. He puts on his hat. He brushes his teeth. He needs a doughnut. So, he brushes his teeth again.

He plays Xbox. He does some work, no, no, no he doesn’t do any work. He watches videos of cats. He makes dinner. He draws. He plays Xbox again. I get home. I get angry. Tom continues to play Xbox. Then he falls asleep. And that’s his day notice that the verb simply have an S or ES at the end of the verb. For he she and it third-person some common mistakes should I use this for future actions? No, for example, can you come to my house? Sure I come soon. Is that always wrong? Well, no you can use it for timetables schedules things that happen at a certain time.

For example, I arrive at five o’clock. Today, I start work at 8:30 .The bus gets here in ten minutes. the train leaves in five minutes. My flight leaves at seven. The party starts at ten. you can use it for facts about things. Dpider-man is a good film not spider-man is being a good. How do you ask questions with the present simple? Well, for example do you speak English? Do you have any brothers or sisters?

Where do you live? Where does the Queen live? What time do you get up? It follows a simple rule quasi or a see the question word. So, where, when, why, how, how many, who, what time, an auxilary verb in this case. Do or does for third-person. The subject and the verb in the infinitive the original verb form think you understand that. Okay, grab a pen and paper. it’s time for a test.
