As you know in the field of public health. We look at basic factors that help make both an individual and community healthy.

Think back to the previous lecture when you were asked to consider the importance of clean air, if people don’t have clean air to breathe, then this can cause many health problems can’t.

Today I want to talk about another basic factor, clean water, good water.

By this I mean water that is safe to drink because access to clean water is a major issue for millions of people worldwide. We need to consider this.

If children in particular don’t have clean water. It can cause serious health problems.

So, let’s turn to some countries, where the lack of clean water is an issue. Oh, before I forget, I want to mention is a good article about children and water in the recent issue of the Journal of global public health.
