This is an all ears English podcast episode 18. Why are Americans buying bikes and selling their cars to the English podcast conversation English language angel coming to you as you said you in this episode, you learn about an alternative to hailing a cab in Boston and New York.

You learn about the fastest, funnest ways to get around the city already got a good grade so got you act so we will live in Boston so you get around the city. How to get around Boston around mainly by bicycle interesting and why do you decide to not take the train or drive like what’s that about will my bicycle is faster than taking the train or actually faster than driving because there’s a lot of traffic and as far as taking the train.

It doesn’t always go exactly where I need to go so riding a bicycle is more efficient school raising a lot of money. I do yeah I do I do absolutely signoff to worry about tickets or parking which can be a headache in the city yeah so cool I will hear well when it’s not too cold.

I still ride my bicycle if it’s really cold the weather is bad. I will take a taxi or maybe take the bus okay yeah not hire Lamont know maybe you get around. I am always on the subway yeah is a way to get because I like you like walking from the station to my home and I dislike that I have a chance to think through things yeah I leave you.

Bye-bye always wanted to have a bike but I just get lazy now in the cities they have those highway bicycles tried and tried that yet but I’ve heard they’re staying open for the winter which is really cool that is cool getting started in Boston and New York.

So, do you know how to shut it because I have my own bicycles have never been in a situation where you have to try it, but I seen a lot of people using them. They seem really popular, easy-to-use model of some European cities.

I think I can work something out yeah because in the US we haven’t been a very bike friendly yeah but were becoming more so because it’s just more environmentally friendly and fun.

You know it’s something that brings more tourism to I think, like when people visit here from other cities, other countries, and you want to get around the city in a fun way to rent a bicycle for good way to do that what you’re looking for that bike program is called Holloway and it’s available here in Boston.

If you’re in Boston you can find little like bike kiosks right in front of the public library in front of nearly subway stations, but they also have a New York something to do. I was just in New York, and I thought the banks ferments a different name is a need for Bob yeah yeah okay cool so good way to get around it is and you know it’s good exercise to make you feel healthy so sure.

Yeah, just be sure your helmet. You know there’s there’s traffic out there yeah you yeah yeah I mean I think that like in European cities.

A lot of people grow up, riding bikes and you know when they’re in their early 20s still to do right bicycles pretty often and so most drivers are aware what it means to write a bicycle. I mean II write a story about this reasoning in years, but it’s different in the US because a lot of people start driving young and I started driving 15 permit to drive so I mean yeah I know what it’s like to ride a bicycle to sometimes there is divergence between drivers bikers in terms of sharing the road so you just have to be considerate of one another, especially in the rural areas.

So I grew up in rural part of Hampshire and like and I also started driving at 16. I did driver’s ed my 16th birthday, like driving with your friends are out there recall right now in the areas that you never see people walking or bike. I just don’t. Everyone got a car so that something but here is probably easier.

More people are living this urban lifestyle is easier by kissing yeah think so too is the distance between where you live and where you want to go is not as far like in Texas you see bikers as much because the distance is just so much bigger knowing interesting so maybe another app that will talk about this idea driving a young age yeah yeah having a car at 16 yeah yeah okay cool for today and will talk tomorrow will do teaching Tuesday and will share some of these phrases and will explain the phrases that we use in this episode yet.

So go back and listen. Tomorrow I think you guys I okay so What would be the best way for students to use the elders looks podcast actually advanced level.
