سلام بچه ها!من کی هستم از یاد گیری زبان انگلیسی بی بی سی ، و امروز قصد دارم تفاوت بین until و by برای شما بگم.
ما از until استفاده میکنیم برای انجام دادن چیزهایی تا یک نقطه ی معین از زمان. اگه من بگم:من تا ساعت ۵ دارم از سگم مراقبت میکنم، معنیش اینه که حالا مراقبت کردن از سگم رو شروع کنم و در ساعت پنج مراقبت کردن رو تموم کنم.
از جهت دیگه،ما از by استفاده میکنیم برای انجام دادن چیزهایی قبل از آینده یا ضرب العجل آینده. اگه من بگم: من باید یک نمایشنامه تا ساعت پنج عصر تمام کنم،معنیش اینه که من میتونم هر زمانی شروع کنم اما باید مطمئن باشم تا ساعت ۵ عصر نوشتن نمایشنامه تمام شده.
پس ممکنه من ساعت ۳یا هر ساعتی قبل از ساعت ۵ تمومش کنم.
پس ما از until استفاده میکنیم برای تشریح انجام دادن چیزهایی تا یک نقطه ی معینی از زمان و استفاده میکنیم از by برای تشریح انجام دادن چیزهایی قبل از آینده یا ضرب الاجل آینده.

Hi guys! This is Kee from BBC Learning English, and today I’m going to tell you the differences between ‘until’ and ‘by’. We use ‘until’ to talk about doing something up to a certain point in time. If I say: I have to take care of my dog until 5pm, it means I will start taking care of my dog now and stop taking care of it at 5pm. On the other hand, we use ‘by’ to talk about doing something before a future time or deadline. If I say: I have to finish an essay by 5pm, it means I can start any time but I will make sure that at 5pm I have finished writing the essay. So, I may even finish it at 3pm or any time before 5. So we use ‘until’ to describe doing something up to a certain point in time and we use ‘by’ to describe doing something before a future time or deadline.
