All Out – Point of View

Hi, I’m AJ Hoge, welcome to the point less for this months’ VIP. I will tell the same story again in three different times. All you need to do is listen to each version. The first will be in the present.

The second will be in the future and the other one will be al little bit of a mix. So don’t think about grammar rules, just listen and relax and repeat this audio every single day, several times a day. Make an all out effort.

First version…

There is a vulture.

What is there?

There’s a vulture.

His name is Vox. Vox the vulture is his name and he is in agony at his job. There’s also a hyena. The hyena’s name is Hal. Hal is also in agony at his job. They are both in agony at their jobs. Vox desperately wants freedom. Hal desperately wants freedom. They both want to start a business. Vox wants to start his own business. Hal wants to start his own business. Vox incessantly thinks of ideas. Every day he incessantly thinks of ideas for a new business and Hal does the same every day, he incessantly thinks of ideas for a new business.

Vox finally decides, he decides to open a coffee shop. Hal finally decides. He decides to open a tea shop. Next, Vox makes an all out effort. He makes an all out effort with his coffee shop idea.

He works 17 hours a day. Vox works 17 hours a day planning and preparing to open his coffee shop.

What kind of effort does he make?

He makes an all out effort. He works incessantly.

Hal makes a moderate effort. He makes a moderate effort with his business. He works about two hours a day planning and preparing. Vox works and works and works incessantly. He creates momentum, unfortunately Hal is overcome by sloth. Hal is overcome by sloth. Vox has a big breakthrough, he opens his coffee shop and it’s a success. He gets customers. He gets money. And then more customers and more money, and more customers and more money. He has a big breakthrough. Unfortunately, Hal’s energy dissipates, it gradually dissipates, his energy, his motivation. He never opens his tea shop. Hal quits and he is still in agony at his job.

Vox’s business grows and grows and grows. He gets more and more and more loyal customers and now he can coast and relax and enjoy his success.

All right, that’s the end of version one of the story. For version two let’s imagine that it’s happening in the future, that we can see the future and we know what’s going to happen. So this is happening in the future.

In the future there will be a vulture. His name will be Vox. He’ll be in agony at his job. In the future there will also be a hyena. His name will be Hal. He’ll also be in agony at his job. Now, each of them will have the same idea. Vox will desperately want to start a business and Hal will desperately want to start a business. They’re both gonna incessantly think of ideas.

Gonna – means going to, it’s a casual, relaxed way to say going to… we can use gonna when we speak but we don’t use it when we write, gonna; gonna. Another way for the future.

So Vox is going to incessantly think of ideas about a new business and Hal is gonna incessantly think of ideas about a new business. They’re both gonna think of new ideas, incessantly, constantly. Finally, Vox will make a decision. He’s gonna open a coffee shop and Hal will also make a decision. He’s gonna open a tea shop. Vox will make an all out effort. He’s gonna make an all out total effort. He’s gonna work 17 hours a day.

Is he gonna work five hours a day?

No.

Is he gonna work 10 hours a day?

No. He’s gonna work 17 hours a day. He’s going to work 17 hours a day, planning and preparing to open his business.

Hal he’s only gonna make a moderate effort. He’s only going to make… he’s only gonna make a moderate effort. He’ll work two hours a day on his idea. Vox is gonna incessantly work. He’s gonna work incessantly, without stopping. And he’s gonna create a lot of momentum.

Unfortunately, Hal will slowly be overcome by sloth. He will slowly be overcome by sloth, by laziness. Hal’s energy will dissipate, but Vox, Vox is gonna have a big breakthrough. He’ll open his business and he’ll immediately get a lot of customers, and he’ll immediately start making money.

His business will grow and grow and grow. He’ll get more and more and more loyal customers.

On the other hand, Hal is finally gonna quit. He’ll finally quit and he’ll remain in agony at his job.

But Vox, Vox is gonna enjoy his success. He’ll finally be able to coast and relax and enjoy his success.

That’s the end of our second version. Let’s do our final version of the story.

Since starting his job Vox has been in agony.

Since when?

Since starting his job.

Was Vox always in agony?

No, he was not always in agony.

Since when has he been in agony? When did it start?

It started when he began his job.

Since he began his job Vox has been in agony

Hal also. Hal has been in agony since starting his job.

Was Hal in agony before his job?

No, no he wasn’t. He wasn’t in agony before his job.

When did his pain, his agony begin?

When he started his job. Since he started his job, he has been in agony.

And since then, Hal has desperately wanted to start a business. Also, since then Vox has desperately wanted to start a business. They have both desperately wanted to start a business, their own business. And, since beginning his job Vox has incessantly thought of ideas for a business. He has incessantly thought of ideas. And Hal the hyena has also incessantly thought of ideas for a new business.

Finally, one day, Vox decided to start a coffee shop, and on the same day Hal decided to start a tea shop. They both decided the same day. Then, Vox made an all out effort. He worked 17 hours a day planning and preparing and working. Hal only made a moderate effort. He worked two hours a day, planning and preparing. Vox worked incessantly and he created momentum.

Unfortunately, Hal was overcome by sloth. Vox made a big breakthrough. He opened his coffee shop. He got new customers immediately. He got money immediately. Hal’s energy dissipated.

Finally, Hal quit and he remained in agony at his job. Vox’s business grew and grew and grew.

He got more and more and more loyal customers, and finally, he was able to coast and relax and enjoy his success.

That is the end of version three of our story. You now have four total versions… the mini story and then these three. Listen to the mini story lesson every day several times a day. Listen to these point of view stories several times a day. Just notice the changes, you don’t need to know the grammar rules, just notice how the story changes. Little changes in phrases and grammar that’s all you need to notice. Don’t think about the rules. Repetition, repetition, repetition, make an all out effort this month.

Listen to all of the audios, every day, several times a day. How many hours per day can you listen to these lessons? Repetition, repetition, repetition is the key to your big breakthrough.

Make an all out effort for six months, for nine months, for twelve months, get that breakthrough.

Think in English. Speak fluently. Speak powerfully. Finally, do it, all out effort.

All right, I’ll see you in the commentary.
