Rachel: Oh hello. We haven’t met before, have we?

Charlie: No, I… I don’t think so. I’m Charlie Bywater.

And you are …?

R: Oh, I’m Rachel, Rachel McDonald. Are you a friend of Annette’s?

C: Yes, I used to work with her actually, at Prada, but then I changed jobs.

R: Oh? What do you do now, then?

C: Well, I’m a leather buyer for Gucci. I travel all over the world finding the right sort of leather for our jackets.

R: Wow! Do you? I like the sound of all that travelling! I work in a lab all day.

C: Oh really! What do you do?

R: Well, I’m a food scientist and I work for Cadbury’s. I have to try out new recipes and flavours, and taste all the new kinds of chocolate, to make sure customers are going to like them.

C: Hmm. Must be great getting all that free chocolate!

R: Well, actually, I used to love chocolate, but now I can’t stand it. I don’t even like the smell!

C: Oh, let me get you another drink - um, tomato juice, was it…?
