Lesson 37

Hello my dear friends. Welcome to lesson number thirty seven or five-four absolutely essential words.

In this lesson we are going to learn twelve essential and necessary words and I’m going to give you lots of examples sentences like ever lesson and we’re going to understand the essential words inside every individual sentence.

Please guys do not forget to ask me your questions if you have any questions at the end of this lesson.

You can always feel free to ask me and I will be always there to answer your questions.

So let’s start with the first word. The first word of this lesson is heir. Yes heir is a person who has the right to somebodies property after that one dies or we can say a person who inherits anything.

So h he is not pronounced to you. is pronounce heir.

So let’s use this words. This is a noun in different examples.

a. Though Mr. Sloane is the heir to a gold mine, he lives like a miser. Or he lives like stingy person so miser means a person who is stingy. Yes.

b. Then Monarch died before he could name an heir to the throne.

And the essential word here is monarch and we have a say this word in previous lessons which means king or queen.

So monarch means a person who is a king or queen.

c. It is essential that we locate the rightful heir at once.

It is very necessary essential means something that is very important and very necessary.

And this is the first word of lesson number thirty seven. Very nice and essential word.

Word number two is majestic.

Yes this is pronounced majestic. Majestic means a grand; noble; dignified and kingly. Majestic is an adjective.

a. The lion is the most majestic creature of the jungle.

Yes it’s a noble creature of the jungle.

b. In Greek mythology M.t Olympus was the majestic home of the gods.

c. The graduates marched into the auditorium to the music of the majestic symphony.

So this is an essential word. Number two majestic, majestic.

The noun is majesty. OK. Majesty.

But this is an adjective. And this is pronounced majestic.

The next word is dwindled, dwindled. Dwindled means become smaller and smaller another synonym for dwindled is shrink, shrink.

We can use this word as an adjective or as a verb.

Let’s use it in different examples.

a. Our supply of unpolluted water has dwindled, has become small.

So the essential word here is unpolluted which means a water that is not dirty.

b. With no visible signs of their ship, Hopes for the men’s safety dwindled with each passing hour.

And the essential word here is visible. Visible is something that you can see and the opposite is invisible which means something that you cannot see.

c. After the furious Tempest, the dwindling chances of finding the raft vanish entirely.

We have two essential words here.

The first one is tempests which means heavy winds or flawed and the next one is vanished when something vanishes, it actually becomes invisible fast and quickly.

So this is the essential word dwindled. Dwindled means to become smaller and smaller.

The next essential word is surplus or surplus. Surpluses means amount over and above what is needed. Something that is extra something that is excess more than enough, surplus.

a. The bank keeps a large surplus of money in a reserve.

b. Surplus wheat, cotton, and soybeans are shipped abroad.

Can you guys tell me the meaning of abroad?

Abroad actually abroad is a place that is outside your country.

So that’s the meaning of abroad.

And we have studied this essential word in previous lesson.

c. No mortal ever considers that he has a surplus of good things.

So mortal something that one day will die.

So when you speak about somebody or something that one day will die is mortal.

The next essential word is traitor.

As you can see in this picture there is a traitor.

He’s trying to actually you know find something for his friend.

So traitor means a person who betrays his or her country, a friend, duty etc.

So when somebody betrays his country or country his considered a traitor.

a. The patriotic sneered when asked to stand on the same platform with a man who was accused of being a traitor.

So we have two essential words here.

The first one is patriotic which means a person who loves his country very much.

And the next one to sneer which means to laugh and make fun of somebody. And we have studied these two essential words in the previous lessons guys.

I suggest you to come back and review the words if you cannot remember the meaning of these words.

b. No Villain is worse than a traitor who betrays his country.

I completely agree with this part. We have two essential words here.

The first one is a villain which means a person who is vicious.

The next one betrays actually when you betray somebody you reveal him to the enemy.

c. Do not call him a traitor unless you can verify the charge.

And the essential word here is verify which means to prove something and that is the essential word of this part.

Traitor yes traitor.

The next essential word is Deliberate, deliberate. Deliberate means to consider carefully; intended; done on purpose.

OK. When something happened deliberately it happens on purpose. In other meaning up deliberate is slow and careful; as though allowing time to decide what to do.

so we can use deliberate in different contexts.

Actually we can use it as a verb which means to consider something very carefully as I told you before.

But let’s use it in different examples.

a. Rico’s excuse was deliberate lie.

Yes it was deliberate lie which means actually done on purpose.

b. My grandfather walks with deliberate steps. Slow and careful here deliberate means slow and careful.

c. Judge Sirica deliberated for a week before making his decisions known. So she deliberated.

Deliberated here means she thoughts actually. she actually thought about this subject for a very long time.

Consider this subject very carefully which is the first meaning of deliberate. As you can see this word has different meanings.

The next essential word is a vandal. Vandal means a person who willingly and willfully or ignorantly destroys or damages beautiful things in public.

So as you can see in this picture this person is a vandal is a person who destroys public damages.

a. Adolescent vandals wrecked, adolescent vandals wrecked the cafeteria which means a young damaged others destroyed the cafeteria.

So adolescent here means a person who is very young.

b. The vandals deliberately intentionally ripped the paintings from the wall.

c. We could scarcely believe the damage caused by the vandals.

The essential word here is scarcely which means barely or hardly ever. Yes that’s the meaning of scarcely.

The next essential word is drought. As you can see in this picture there is drought.

Drought means a long period of dry weather; Lack of rain; lack of water and dryness.

That’s the meaning of drought.

a. Because of the drought, some farmers began to migrate to more fertile regions.

We have two essential words here.

The first one is migrate which means to move from one place to another place and fertile means something that is fruitful something that is productive. Yes.

b. In time of drought, the crops become scorched.

Scorched means to burn something very slightly and we have studied these essential words in different sentences and previous lesson.

c. As the drought wore on, people began to grumble against those who had squandered water when it was more plentiful.

We have one essential word here and that is squander.

Do you guys know the meaning of squander? Squander means to waste something. Yes to waste something.

The next essential word is abide. Abide means accept and follow out; remain faithful to; dwell and another meaning of abide means endure. Yes endure.

a. The team decided unanimously to abide by the captain’s rulling.

The essential word here is unanimously when something happens unanimously it happens in complete agreement and we have studied this word in previous lessons.

b. Senator Ervin abided by his promise so he remained faithful to his promise not to allow demonstrations in the committee room.

c. My mother cannot abide dirt and vermin.

She cannot accept and she cannot actually endure or tolerate to their vermin. Vermin or the animals or the insects that actually destroy your house and bother you.

The next essential word is unify. As you can see in this picture these four persons actually they have a unified and there is a unity between them.

So unify means unite; make or form into one, to become one and we use this word as a verb.

a. The novel traces the developments that unified the family.

Do you guys know the meaning of novel?

Actually novel is a long story.

After the Civil War our country became unified more strongly. our country became united and became one.

c. It takes a great deal of training to unify all these recruits into an efficient fighting machine.

So this is the essential word of this part unify.

Summit. Summit means the highest point or top as you can see in this picture the guy in red clothe he standing on the summit.

a. We estimated the summits of the mountain to be twenty thousand feet.

So guys do you know the meaning of estimate?

Estimate means to guess, to guess something or reckon something. Yes that’s it.

b. Do not underestimate Ruth’s ambition to reach the summit of the acting profession.

Do not underestimate. when you underestimate somebody you sell somebody short or you undervalue somebody.

c. The summit meeting of world leaders diminished the threat of war.

We have two essential words here the first one is diminished which means to decrease to make something smaller and threat means danger. yes that’s it.

Very nice words.

And this is one of my favorite word. Actually summit.

Next word is heed. Heed means give careful attention to; take notice of; careful attention.

We can use it as a verb and as a noun.

So when you heed somebody you give him careful attention.

Let’s use it in different sentences.

a. I demand that you heed what I say.

Yes. It means you should pay attention to what I say.

b. Florence pays no heed to what he signs to what the signs say.

c. Take heed take heed means pay attention and be on guard against those who try to deceive you.

And the essential word here is deceive which means to fool trick or defraud somebody.

So guys this was the last essential word of lesson number thirty seven.

We just studied twelve essential words and all of these words are very careful very essential and we’re goanna use all of these words in one great movie.
