Lesson 27

Hello my dear friends

welcome to lesson number 27 of five-four absolutely essential words like other lesson I’m gonna teach you twelve essential WORDS AND WE’RE GONNA LEARN THE MEANING

OF THEM AND I’M GONNA clarify on every word so you can understand the meaning of them very clearly.

So let’s start with the first words the first word of Lesson Number 27 is despite.

despite means in spite of; in spite of .

a. The player continued in the game despite his injuries.

b. Despite being shy, Ted signed up to audition on American Idol.

c. we won the game by a shotout despite the fact that our team got only three hits.

so this is the first essential words of Lesson Number 27.

despite and we also can say in spite of; in spite of.

word number two is disrupt.

disrupt

disrupt means to upset; cause to break down.

disrupt is a verb and we used as a verb in most of the times.

a. Pam’s clowning disrupted the class every.

b.The storm disrupted the telephone lines throughout the area.

c. The collapse of the government disrupted the services we took for granted, such as mail delivery.

and there is one essential word in this actually parts and that’s collapse.

collapse means fall down or failure in something.

So this is the essential words The second essential words of lesson number 27 disrupt.

word number three is rash.

rash as you can see; there is a rash on this person’s can it has different meanings.

so rash means; a breaking out with many small red spots on the skin; or outbreak of many instances within a short time or the other meaning of rash means to hasty; or careless.

Let’s use this word, this word is a noun let’s use it in different examples.

a. The report of a rash of burglaries in the neighborhood was exaggerated.

So we have one essential word in this sentence and that’s exaggerated.

exaggerate means to make something bigger than it is bigger than usual to magnify about something.

so rash here means something that is too hasty or careless.

word number four is rapid.

rapid as you can see this car is Rapids which means very quick and swift

a. we took it a rapid walk around the camp before breakfast.

we took a really fast walk around the camp.

b. if you wark rapidly; if you work quickly you can complete the test in twenty minutes.

Yes I completely agree with this part.

c. The response to the surprise attack was a rapid retreat.

so we have one essential word in this part and

that’s response which means an answer or reaction.

I think the best synonym for response here is a reaction.

The reaction to the surprise attack was a rapid retreat.

rapid and rapidly; rapid is an adjective. rapidly is an adverb.

The next essential word is exhaust.

exhaust

exhaust means empty completely; or use up; or tire out.

so exhaust and the adjectives is exhausted.

When I say I’m exhausted means I have no energy and my energy is completely out so it means I’m tired.

Let’s use this word in different examples.

We use it as a verb adjective and now most of the times.

a. To exhaust the city’s water supply would be a calamity.

Yes we have one essential word in this sentence and that’s calamity.

Can you guys remember the meaning of calamity.

Calamity means a tragedy or a big misfortune.

b. the long climb to the top of the mountain exhausted our strength.

Yes it can.

Actually it emptied our strength.

c. If we continue to squander our money recklessly, our Treasury will soon be exhausted.

Exactly.

We have two essential words here.

The first one to squander which means to waste.

And the second one is a recklessly which means actually doing something in a very careless way.

Or we can say carelessly.

So if we continue to waste our money in a very careless manner our Treasury will soon be finished or exhausted.

That’s very essential very nice word of this part exhausts.

Next one is severity

severity.

The adjective is severe and the noun is severity.

severity means strictness; harshness; plainness or violence.

a. the severity of the teacher was not appreciated by the pupils until they reached the final examinations.

Yes this trickiness of the teacher was not appreciated.

b. the severity of the black plague can be imagined from the fact that thirty percent of the population died.

Yes this is one of the worst diseases; Black, Black Plague.

So here we have one essential word.

And we have so these words in previous lessons and that’s population which means the number of people who live in one country or one city.

c. Rosita complained to the principal about the severity of the punishment that the student court gave to her.

So this is an essential word of this part severity which means harshness; violence; strictness.

Very nice word.

The next one is feeble.

feeble as you can see this guy in this picture is feeble which means weak.

a person who is not trying; He’s feeble.

a. We heard a feeble cry from the exhausted child.

from the tired child hear a feeble cry means a weak cry or a not very loud cry.

b. The guide made a feeble attempt to explain why he had taken the wrong turn.

We studied the word guide in the previous lesson which means actually a person who shows the way, if you can remember the meaning of these words.

Guys again I have to tell you if you cannot remember these essential words you have to come back to the previous lesson study them.

c. The feeble old man collapsed on the sidewalk.

The weak old man he fells down on the sidewalk.

So collapse is an essential word which means to fall down.

So that’s, feeble; weak.

unite

unite

unite as a verb and the noun is unity.

As you can see in this picture the people in this actually group and community they have decided to unite.

so unite means to join together; and become one.

I think the best synonym for uniting is become one become a team.

a. The thirteen colonies united to form one country.

b. Matrimony united two famous Virginia families.

So the essential word matrimony.

Can you remember the meaning of matrimony matrimony is the word we started in previous lessons which

means the state of being married or something about marriage.

c. America and Russia were united against a common enemy in World War ll.

So unite means to become one to become a team.

Very nice one.

The next essential word is cease.

Cease means to stop.

Yes that’s a clear and simple meaning of cease stop.

a. cease trying to do more than you can do.

Stop trying to do more than you can.

Actually the verb that comes after cease comes in Durand and comes in.

b. The whispering in the audience ceased when the curtain went up.

That’s a very beautiful sentence.

c When you cease making war, you can then begin to pacify the small villages the enemy controls.

and the essential word of this sentence is pacify which means two may call or may quiet.

Very nice word.

the next essential word is thrift.

thrifty

I guess this guy in this picture is very thrifty.

thrifty means saving; careful in spending; and thriving.

So a person who is very careful in spending money is called thrifty.

a. by being thrifty, Miss Benson managed

to get along on her small income.

she managed to get along on her small income.

b. a thrifty person knows that squandering money can lead to financial calamity.

Oh nice.

We have three essential words in this sentence.

The first one squandering which means wasting.

the next one financial which means something related to money and the last one is calamity which means misfortune and bad luck.

And we studied all of these words in previous lessons.

Again you have to come back and review those lessons and study them.

If you cannot remember them and if you don’t know the meaning of these essential words in this sentences

so let’s read it again.

A thrifty let’s say a saving man; saving person knows that’s wasting money can lead to monetary misfortune.

c. by thrifty use of their supplies, their shipwrecked sailors were able to survive for weeks.

they were able to survive.

and the essential words in this part is survive.

Which means to live longer than to live longer than after an accident or.

the next essential word these miserly.

miserly means a person who is a stingy like a miser or a person who doesn’t like to spend any money.

OK that’s miserly; stingy

a. being miserly with our natural resources will help us to live longer on this earth.

I completely agree with this sentence and miserly person rarely has any friends.

and the essential word of this part is that readily which means hardly ever so a stingy person hardly ever has any friends.

c. Silas Marner abandoned his miserly habits when Eppie came into his life.

That’s good for her and the essential word here is abandon.

abandon is the actually first word of the

first lesson of five-four absolutely essential words which means to leave and to quit without coming back.

and the last word of Lesson Number 27 is Monarch.

monarch means king or queen; or we can say a ruler or monarch.

a. There are few modern nations that are governed by monarchs.

b. The monarchs of ancient Rome considered themselves descendants of the gods.

So here descends actually we say the word descends in previous lesson which means to come down descend.

So descendants means people who come down from court or this people that are sent by God.

c. Men sometimes believe that they are monarchs in their own homes.

That’s a very nice sentence

someone monarch means king or queen.

So guys these were twelve essential words very necessary words very important words we studied and we

learned many other essential words in different sentences.

You can always make examples with these words and send it to me and I can always actually answer you

back and correct your mistakes if you have any errors or mistakes.

And again I have to tell you that one of the best way to remember these words is to make examples with

these words.
