A wish for today
A. Listen. What wishes do these people have for today? Number the topics they talk about.
1: Let’s see, um, I wish it were bright and sunny outside. Yeah. If it were a nice day, then I could go for a long walk and get some exercise. I like sunny days. I get tired of all the rain.
2: I wish I didn’t have so much work. If I weren’t so busy, I could take the day off and do some things at home. Like, I really need to clean the house. I haven’t had much free time lately. It’d be good to be outside, instead of here in the office all day.
3: I wish I could get together with all my friends. Then we could go to the beach for the day. You know, go swimming, have a picnic,… that kind of stuff. Yeah, that’d be really fun!
4: I wish I could spend the day with my sister and her kids. Then we could hang out together. They don’t live near me, so I don’t get to see them that often. It’s too bad. I miss them.
