I’m at a rather noisy demonstration in the town of stansfield. Here are two of the young protestant. What are you protesting about. We want to say Dingelldel. And what is Dingelldel?. It’s this wood what you can see behind us. The local counsel wants to build a big shopping center there. And why you want to stop that? Well, if the shopping center is built all these trees will be cut down. The animals that live there will lose their homes. And the town will lose a green space. Where people can wallk and children can play. But a shopping center would be good for the town? Wouldn’t it? It would bring jobs. We don’t agree. It will just take jobs away from the local shops and a lot of them will close. And it will produce more traffic and more pollution. So what are you going to do? The local counsel is going to decide whether to build the shopping center next month. We’re going to hold demonstrations here and town hall every weekend till then. And we’ve already organized a boycott of the companies that want to open shops here. Thank you. This is Rex Marsh with new time in Stansfield.
