On Saturday mornings, Conor and his friends are usually at the sports centre. They have lessons in table tennis, badminton and other sports with the sports instructor, Mt Riley. There weren’t any lessons last weekend, because everyone was away.

Where were you last weekend, Conor?

I was at a theme park with my sister, Clare, and some friends. It was a birthday present.

Was it good?

Yes, it was great!

Were Henry and Azra with you?

No, they weren’t. Henry was at his cousin’s wedding and Azra and her family were on holiday in Croatia.

Oh, really? I was there last year. It was very nice.

What about you, sir? How was your weekend off? Was it good?

No, it wasn’t. I was I was in bed all weekend. I was ill!
