Liam: Jade! Where are you off to?

Jade: Ah, I’m going over to the bookshop. I’ve just got time before my next lecture.

L: You don’t even have to go to the lecture, do you?

J: Well, no, if I didn’t go, nobody would notice. There are too many of us for that. And anyway, nobody minds, as long as we do all our reading.

L: I can’t believe it! Things are so relaxed for you arts people.

We poor scientists are stuck in our labs from nine to five. Do you realise, we have to be there?

J: Oh, bad luck, Liam! But you do get an hour off for lunch!

L: Huh! I think I work twice as hard as you do.

J: Ah, but don’t forget, we go on reading and studying and worrying all over the weekend, when your labs are closed.

L: Well, I must say, I haven’t noticed you doing much of that. What about last weekend, then? You were at Ricky’s party, weren’t you …?
