drones are flying robots.

some drones are controlled by a person while other drones fly automatically, controlled by a computer.

computer controlled drones are programmed to fly to a specific place and complete a task.

such as watching weather conditions or sending video of forest fires.

these aircraft have also been used to explore hard-to-reach places like the tops of mountains.

drones are also available for personal use.

there is a growing industry of companies that build and sell drones directly to the public.

nano robots are extremely small robots; smaller than a human cell.

nano robots may someday be used in medicine.

for example, doctors may put nano robots inside patients bodies and utilize them to obtain information and find early signs of disease.

nano robots may also be used to treat cancer, instead of surgery or other treatments.

just like a human doctor uses the senses of sight and touch to find disease in the body, these tiny mechanical disease fighters have sensors to help them find cancer cells; then they attach themselves to the cancer cells and release medicine to kill the cancer.

as you can see robotics is not a dull field of study; there are many new and exciting uses for robots in the future…
