Well that lecture give me a lot of hope about helping people in poverty you know.

Oh, I know exactly what you’re saying, those examples make me feel so good, but I still think we need to remember that the village bank is just one project on still a lot of poverty out there.

true,, but I wouldn’t quite say it like that, that it’s just out there I mean it’s everywhere, even in developed countries there are poor people.

I know the poverty doesn’t have a nationality. It just seems that sometimes some people get themselves in bad situations and they need help.

Exactly in a little help can make a big difference. Just like we saw in the lecture.

What about you yourself? Do you do anything to help fight poverty?

Well I don’t know if it’s helping the fight poverty but I babysit for free one night a week for my neighbor. She has kind of a hard time financially and she works at the hospital so the next that I babysit she might work later, or go get groceries or whatever just gives her a little extra time.

Yeah, that’s cool.

What about you?

Yeah I started volunteering at an after school program.

Helping kids with math? It’s volunteer work?

yet I don’t get paid but I’m, I really enjoy teaching them and they appreciated.

That’s great, in my opinion, giving someone a skill is just as good as giving or loaning the money.

For sure. And if you think about it, pretty much everyone has something to give.
