A Silly Mistake

When I got home to my apartment last night, I took out my key to open the door as usual. As always, I put it in the lock, but the door didn’t open.

I tried my key again and again with no luck. So I knocked on the door for my wife to let me in. Finally, the door opened, but I didn’t see my wife on the other side I saw a stranger. I had been trying to get into the wrong apartment. I quickly apologized and went to my own. I felt very stupid about what I had done.
