Tsutomu Yamaguchi will be born long before the two Lauras, but he will also feel that fate has guided his life.

Yamaguchi is going to work for a company called Mitsubishi’ in Nagasaki, Japan during World War II. In May of 1945 he will go to Hiroshima on a 3-month business trip.

Yamaguchi will finish his business on August 5th. He will be getting ready to leave Hiroshima early the next morning. He is going to be on his way to the train station when he will remember that he forgot something at his Hiroshima office.

He is going to turn around and go back to get it. At 8:45 in the morning on August 6th, the first atomic bomb in history is going to fall on Hiroshima.
