Unit 24- B

1. Who? Claudia? Oh, she’s very unsure of herself.

Very nervous when it comes to exams and all that. Have you seen her lucky mascot? It’s a key ring with a funny little plastic rabbit on it. She takes it everywhere with her for luck. She actually thinks things will be OK if she has it in her hand. Funny believing that son of thing!

1. That’s the boy next door, Jim his name is, very nice lad. He’s studying at the moment and he just lives for his music. He’s always carrying his violin around with him. Plays very well, actually, but I don’t suppose it’ll ever make him much money. He doesn’t seem to care about that, though.

2. You know, old Miss Henderson’s amazing. She cycles down the High Street, with every grey hair in place, and her shopping in the basket on the front. She’s been doing it for years and has never had an accident, although the traffic’s pretty bad in the centre of town.

3. You’re talking about Gary, aren’t you?

Lovely clothes he wears. I think his mum’s Italian, isn’t she? And he always wears sunglasses! Makes him look cool, I suppose. He’s always got the very latest T-shirt, or boots, or whatever. It’s obviously important to him to look good.

1. He was my teacher in the first year, Mr Lewis was, really nice man. Used to tell us jokes sometimes. I understood maths when he explained it to me. When he left, I sort of lost interest. What a great teacher!

None of the others were as good as …
