The Clock Tower? Oh, that’s very simple. You go up past the bank to the traffic lights, just by the roundabout. Go straight over, in other words, take the fourth exit off the roundabout.

You’ll see MacBurgers on your left. You’re now in Dyke Road. It should be straight on from there, but there are roadworks at the moment, you see. So just before you get to the church, on your right, and the children’s hospital - the Royal Alexandra, it’s called - you have to turn right into Clifton Road, then first left to get back onto the main road again.

Then you go downhill to a big crossroads, and there’s the Clock Tower. You can’t miss it. So remember, it’s straight across at the roundabout. If you go wrong there and turn off too soon, you’ll end up at the station, and then you could just go straight down Queen’s Road instead.

But it’s really busy round there at this time of day, so it’s best to go down Dyke Road, as I said.
