Grant: Sharon, I think we should think about doing some decorating soon, you know. We’ve been here five years now and the place still looks a mess!

Sharon: Yes, I know, love. You’re right.

But there’s been so much else to do. [Mmm] Where do you think we should start?

G: Well, how about painting the living room? I really think we should throw away that horrible old brown carpet, too, and get a new one.

S: Well, I think I’d rather start with the bathroom. I hate those pink walls!

And the shower’s not working properly anymore, you know. It’s getting quite urgent.

G: Yes, you’re right about the shower. I don’t know. Perhaps this room’s more important to start with. Look how dirty these walls are around the cooker.

We could paint everything white, I suppose.

S: Oh, but what about the bedroom, though? It really needs some new wallpaper. And new curtains.

G: I don’t know - I think we’re going to have to get someone in to help us. We can’t do all this ourselves.

We just haven’t got the time.

S: You’re right. Let’s get someone in.
