• So, what did you do last night John?

• Uh, I went to my boss’ house. He invited me over for dinner.

• Really? How was it?

• Oh, the food was excellent. But, he talked about football all night. And I hate football. Then we watched a boring sports video.

• How awful. I know how you feel about sports.

• I didn’t get home until after midnight.

• That doesn’t sound like much fun. I had a great time last night.

• Oh yeah?! What did you do?

• I went to a party and met an old school friend of mine. We went to high school together.

• We had lots to talk about. I stayed out until about 1 A.M. So I got home really late too.

• It sounds like you had a better time than I did.

• Yeah, I guess you’re right.
