There are a lot of resources and websites out there

and I don’t know how and where to start!

You couldn’t ask a better person!

I have spent my share of time

browsing the internet searching for eligible content

and now I have a list of the best Websites

which I’m going teach you how to use!

So tune in!

The first one is the British Council!

Now here you can take an English level test for free!

After doing that you can find content for your level.

Here is the list of four skills

I’m gonna choose Speaking

and

let’s say I’m a beginner.

There is a list of videos you can watch

and

and after that

there are some tasks related to the video

to check how much you have learned!

And over here we have the comment section

where we can talk to other students!

Great isn’t it?

We have a huge variety of lessons here

about grammar

about vocabulary

business English

General English

and even IELTS!

The second one and my personal favorite

is BBC learning English!

We have videos, we have radio podcasts!

I have learned a great deal here!

Let’s check out the English we speak section!

So as you see

they are many words

and

they kind of explained the new words

in an appropriate context

and also

they give you great examples

which is a great way for learning new words.

The third one would be yarn.co.

Now if you have learned a word or an expression

and want to see how it is used by native speakers

this is the place for you!

Here you can search any word or sentence

and find the movies and series they were used in!

For example, I’m gonna search “ how you doing”

and here I have a list of this phrase used

in different movies.

The fourth is vocabulary.com

which is a dictionary like Cambridge, Longman

and Merriam Webster.

The reason why I like this website is that

there are real examples for each word.

So here I will search for “acquisition”

and I have the definition, the word family

and a bunch of examples from books and newspapers.

So if you want to see the word later

I can click on learning now

and the website will design some exercises

to review the word later.

If you are a teacher you can create a vocabulary list here

and

assign it to your students.

The fifth is news in level

and you can learn a great deal from it.

You have actual news stories

in three different levels from easy to difficult.

And at the end of each level

you can see the new words and their definitions.

The next is lyrics training

which is a very fun and engaging website

to improve your listening skills.

I’m gonna choose this song

choose my level

and the website will designs a fill in the blanks exercise

so I’ll listen to the song and

fill in the blanks!

I wish I had something like this

when I was learning English!

It just makes everything so easy!

and let’s say I don’t know this word

I’m gonna add it to my Leitner

and can review it later on.
