I Have A Dream by Stella

Dreams, I think, are just like a locked door. Past the door lies something you want, but how do you get in?

Find the key to unlocking the door, and it will open opportunities you’ve never even dreamed of. I think the key is made from your efforts, interests and enthusiasm, even your time and energy.

When I hear the song, “ My future is not a dream,” my heart fills up with joy and hope from the meaning of these words. I think this means that, “ Whatever dream you choose, just do your best to catch it. Then, you will see the future you chose for yourself. I believe that working hard will not necessarily get you to your goal, but if you don’t work hard, you will never succeed.

How can the worm become a beautiful butterfly? It is always eating and eating, crawling and crawling. One day, it turns into a cocoon and becomes a beautiful butterfly. I am just like the worm. When I was younger, I liked to watch TV. When I turned on an English program, I would shout, “ Wow! What’s that sound? It sounds wonderful! How can that be? From that moment on, the American accent has always drawn me in. So, I started to practice English. Teachers often use interesting English cartoons or movies to teach us. I often mispronounce, but I have worked very hard up to now.

Lately, I speak with an American, named David. After the conversation he asks me, “ Hey! How did you do that? Your accent is beautiful and natural, just like an Americans. Have you been to America before?” I giggle and say, “ No, but I think the reason for my accent is more practicing, listening and enthusiasm.”

Up to now, my dreams have been coming true, proving that my future is not a dream. I believe as long as you do your best, and have enthusiasm, your dreams will come true. Now is the start of another adventure down the path of my dreams.
