I have a great time at YUDA senior high school. When I first got there, I was afraid that I would get lost, being new and all. At that time, there were a lot of students on the playground who each picked up a stick and carried it in their hands. I didn’t realize that these were direct instructions from our teacher for our class, but they were. So, I picked up a stick and followed one of the other students back to our classroom.
A student named Flora was helping my teacher resolve problems and arrange seating for us. I thought she was well- trained by the teachers. She was very efficient in doing everything. The day before school started, my classmates and I moved our books into the classroom. Although the books were very heavy, we had to move them up six floors. It was a very hard job for us. At that time, I saw someone waiting by the elevator. I realized that it was my xuezi, Flora. When she saw us, she offered to help us. So, we got into the elevator, rode it to the sixth floor, and got rid of the books. What a relief! We were very grateful to her.
I remembered my first day at YUDA senior high school, because I was uncomfortable and unaccustomed to the place. Flora always helped us all adjust, though. Especially when our class had challenges, she got us through them. She took us to places we had to go to and helped us learn how to do things we didn’t know how to do. She also taught us how to sing a military song. She has very good leadership skills in guiding us as to what we should or shouldn’t do. She’s just like a class leader, and we like her very much.
I’m very thankful for all her help. Without her, I wouldn’t know anything about school and would be very nervous all the time. I’m very grateful for her.
