man, you know, this multiple intelligence theory is really interesting like I know a lot of people who benefit from this theory.
Well, I mean, I know a lot of people who are smart, but there smart in different ways meeting their smart ways that traditional IQ tests can see.
Can you give me an example?
Okay. So, for example, this guy Anthony my history class, is failing the course and on test day he’s a mess, I mean he can’t remember a single factor; a single date.
But he’s intelligent in some other way, you think?
well definitely, I mean he’s a sculptor and, he makes really beautiful pieces.
of sculptor like he makes statues.
Yeah.
But is really intelligence because it sounds like talent.
Actually, that’s what I was gonna say, you know, we can all think of talented athletes’ singers but are they really intelligent while I tend to argue yes
mean, what good is a high IQ or by verbal or mathematical ability mean it doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re good at anything. It just means that you did well on an IQ test.
I’m with you, the multiple intelligences theory is more useful than IQ test recognizes where a person is strong.
Right.
Or talented like I said, I don’t think education is for developing those talents. It’s for developing intelligence in those traditional areas.
I’m sorry, that’s just how I see it.
I mean for me, I’d rather have a professor who sees me for my multiple intelligences, and not just how I do on written tests.
So, have any of you taken one of those IQ tests?
I didn’t do so well mine and now I’m amazing and other ways
