Leonardo da Vinci, 1452 to 1519 was an Italian inventor, painter and sculptor.

Impressionist painters didn’t mix colors together; instead, they made small dots of pure color.

Freda Kahlo, 1907 to 1954, was a Mexican painter, famous for her brightly colored paintings and traditional Mexican clothing.

in many of her paintings, she communicates her feelings of pain and sadness.

for example, in her painting “the two Fridas” Kahlo used the image of a bleeding heart to represent the sadness she felt over the end of her marriage.
